Templates
Flow templates are pre-packaged flows that greatly simplify setting up automations. Each template contains one or more flows that you can start from when setting up an automation.
The available flow templates are created by Ebbot, and can't be created by you directly. If you have suggestions on templates to add to our template library, feel free to contact us.
Using templates
You can find available templates in the Templates tab on the Workflows dashboard.
Once you enable a template you get to a setup page where you need to map the nodes in the flow to the connections you have.
Once the templates are enabled they will show up in your list of unpublished templates (https://automations.ebbot.eu/flows/unpublished).
The flow templates need adjusting before publishing, so they always start as unpublished. Once you enable a template you need to go through the new flows and adjust them to your liking.
Make the templates your own
Once you enabled a template, it's all yours. You're free to change any aspect of it, no part of the template will be changed by us after activation.
You can use templates as many times as you want. If you're starting a new project you can enable a template again and get a fresh set of templates without touching your other existing flows.
When to build from scratch vs using a template
The templates we provide are created to fit common use cases. It's usually faster to start from scratch if your use case is widely different.
